With access to the easy to use web-based staff portal in the IntraPhone service, it is simple to sign and edit your registrations, get an overview of what has happened with your clients since your last visit and get an overview of the complete work day. What’s in it for managers and planners?

Most visits to the client are reported without any deviation from the expected. These reports end up as statistics without your interference. However, reports that do have ‘something special’, will stick out. This ‘management by exception’ allows you to focus on matters that require your attention.

By showing where the staff is logged-in (in real time), you can check if they arrived safely to the client despite bad weather and traffic, or who is nearby to deal with an urgent alarm.

The detailed reporting gives an excellent basis for planning and resource allocation. All of a sudden, the whole operation is clearly visible and one can easily redistribute resources to where they are mostly needed. It is also clearly visible if a client's need of aid changes drastically.

The son gets very upset and contacts the home care organization. But it is difficult for him to get in contact with the right person. The frustration and concern grows bigger as he cares a great deal about his mother. Karin becomes sad when she understands that the son is upset and tries to smooth things over. When the son finally speaks the home care organization, they tell him that his mother has got her shower according to plans.

Secure solutions to the key problems

Many home care organizations still handle large, heavy keychains with keys to all clients in the area. It is very time consuming travelling back and forth to leave and fetch keys, not to mention the consequences if the keys are lost. When a client fires an alarm one might have to go to and fetch the correct key before the client can be helped.

A common problem is the need to handle several different keys for each client. Perhaps the garbage room has a separate key. Many clients, especially in rural areas, have non-standard keys and locks.
